If you’re looking for a tube-like overdrive have a look at the Boss SD-1; it’s one of the best overdrives I’ve tried. In rehearsal or tub when stage volume has to be very low, I play right on the floor, touching slot machines at this casino, so we’ve gotta play very very very low and right when it starts to feel good and quiet, turn it down about half again, deltzlab delta labs is perfect in this situation.
I think it’s really not a bad TS clone, but you need to keep the gain on the lower side. There are a number of good sounding pedals in that price range, but only the DL and the Cool Cat offer true bypass.

I have it directly behind my Boss CS3, it is a little noisey with the comp and I’m going to need to get a noise gate to put after my OD and distortion, but I’ve had a lot of tone geeks complament my hd. May 21, 7. Delta lab td1 tube driver: With a quality amp, that pedal really screams and gets you heard in the mix very well.
I played around with one when they first came out. I have a Marshall Guv’nor and it’s not cutting it for me May 21, 6.
May 21, 5. In rehearsal though, we like to keep rehearsing volume very low and I use this pedal a lot. But used more as a boost, it’s one of the best IMO.
The CC gets bright and raspy, but has more available gain. Gotta agree with the crowd here.

The SD-1 and Bad Monkey sound a bit better, but both have buffered bypass.

In my live set it’s on for about 3 or 4 songs out of an 18 song set when I need a quieter driven sound, maybe use it a little more than that for a little something extra on a lead part, but only if the band is really crankin’.
