I tried reinstalling it infraared it keeps giving me error saying that it is not installed correctly. Tuesday, August 4, 1: Only the curious and determined need read further. I tried a custom driver install and selected the eHome remote install under the Microsoft section for drivers, I got a big warning that the driver was not for the device and then it still failed to start.

Red light was flashing but nothing happening. If you’re happy with binary numbers you’ve probably spotted that bit 0 specifies Control, bit 1 specifies Shift, bit 2 specifies Alt and bit 3 specifies the Windows key. Atleast my problem was fixed because of it.
If byte 4 is set to 01 the eHome driver may windods a multimedia keyboard keypress.

Fri May 22, Windows will react as enome a key had been pressed on the keyboard. I can’t reproduce the cause or solution of this problem as of yet. The following has been established by experiment. You have to delete this entry and after that let Windows search again for new hardware also in the device manager.
